Whether you're offering a monthly membership, an ongoing service, or installment payments, the Big Easy Website Creation platform makes it easy to set up recurring billing. In this guide, you'll learn how to create a subscription product, build a custom checkout page, manage subscriptions, and offer optional upsells or bump offers for added revenue.
- Go to Store > Products.
- Click + Add Product and choose a type: Physical, Digital, Service, or Membership.
- Enter a title (e.g., "Monthly Coaching Subscription").
- Check the box for “Subscription Product.”
- In the pop-up, configure:
- Frequency (e.g., every 1 month)
- Duration (e.g., unlimited or a fixed number of cycles)
- Click Submit and save your product.
💡 You can also set up installment plans by limiting the number of billing cycles (e.g., 3 payments of $20).
- Go to Pages > + Add New Page.
- Choose a Checkout Page template and name it (e.g., “Subscribe Now”).
- Inside the page:
- Select the subscription product for the checkout widget.
- Choose One-Step Checkout for faster conversions.
- (Optional) Remove billing address fields for service-based subscriptions.
- Click Save.
- Preview the page.
- Enter test user information and payment details.
- Complete the order to simulate the subscription process.
📧 Subscribers receive email confirmation after the initial charge and for each renewal.
- After checkout, users create an account with a password.
- They can:
- Access the Subscriptions tab to view or cancel their plan
- See their Order History
- (If applicable) Access the Membership tab for gated content
- Inside the checkout settings, add a Bump Offer.
- Choose a second product or subscription to upsell.
- Enter a headline like “Yes! Add bonus content for $10/month.”
- Customers can check the box to add it to their order instantly.
- You can also sell subscriptions using:
- Add-to-Cart buttons on product pages
- Standard e-commerce checkout
- However, dedicated checkout pages are more effective for conversions and customization.
- On your checkout page, consider adding:
- Testimonials
- Countdown timers
- Guarantees (e.g., 14-day money-back)
- Urgency messaging
- These elements often improve performance 3–5x over standard checkouts.
