How to Customize Your Website Header

Your website header is the first thing most visitors interact with—it’s where they navigate, click important links, and follow calls to action. With Big Easy Website Creation, customizing your header is simple and fully flexible using the drag-and-drop editor.

1. Hover
   over your header section in the builder.
2. Depending on your template, your header may have:
• A top row with social icons or text
• A bottom row with your logo and navigation
3. To rearrange elements, simply drag and drop them:
• For example, move your logo to the left, navigation to the right, and delete any unused text or icons.
• A gold guideline will show where the element will be placed.

You can modify your header layout by adding or removing rows:

1. Click the + icon above or below any header row to add a new row.
2. Choose from elements like:
• Text blocks
• Social media icons
• Buttons or call-to-action prompts
3. To remove a row, click the row’s options menu (⚙️) and select Delete.

Headers support a variety of widgets designed specifically for navigation and interactivity:

1. Click the + icon in a header row to open the widget menu.
2. Add widgets such as:
• Menu
• Search bar
• Shopping cart
• Phone number or email
3. Drag and drop widgets to adjust layout and use the handle icons to tweak spacing (margins) between elements.

Your menu is especially important on mobile devices. Here’s how to manage it:

1. Click on the Menu widget in your header.
2. Select Edit Menu.
3. Add new menu items:
• Choose a Page, Product, Anchor, Pop-up, Phone, or Email.
4. To rearrange or create submenus:
• Click and drag the menu item up or down to reorder.
• Drag it slightly to the right to create a nested submenu.
